A Global Perspective
Joanne’s extensive work experience around the world, including South Africa, Ghana, Jordan, and the United States, has broadened her approach to design. Having experienced a multitude of cultural differences and similarities, she has learnt to observe attentively, shed her preconceptions, and ask insightful questions. How people share a meal, seek relief from the sun, or even travel to work all serve to expand her perspective.
Additionally, she is inspired by her hometown of Hong Kong. The concrete jungle has engendered in her a natural propensity for tall and dense ways of living. It is no accident that Joanne is passionate about pushing the envelope in housing and mixed-use developments.
